MantisVN Accompanies the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Electronics and Semiconductor Industry Development Seminar

On March 20, 2026, the seminar titled “Connecting the Triple Helix in Policy-Making, Research, Training, and Development of Electronics and Semiconductor Products in Ho Chi Minh City” was successfully held at the Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB). This was one of the key industry events, bringing together representatives from government agencies, experts, research institutes, universities, and the high-tech business community.
The seminar was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology and the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Association. It aimed to create a practical dialogue platform among the three pillars: Government – Academia – Industry. The program focused on gathering feedback to refine policies supporting the development of the electronics and semiconductor sector, including strategic directions related to key digital technology products, chip design and manufacturing, supporting industries, and the development of a high-quality workforce.
Mantis Vietnam – Accompanying as a Silver Sponsor

At this event, Mantis Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company was honored to participate as a Silver Sponsor, reaffirming its strong commitment to supporting the technology and innovation ecosystem in Vietnam.
This sponsorship not only demonstrates the company’s sense of responsibility toward the community but also represents a strategic step for Mantis in strengthening connections with partners in research, education, and semiconductor technology development—an industry identified as a key driver of future growth.
The Role and Insights of Mr. Le Huynh Lan at the Seminar
Representing Mantis Vietnam at the seminar was Mr. Le Huynh Lan, MSc., CEO of Mantis Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Association for the 2026–2030 term.

During the discussion session, Mr. Lan shared valuable insights from a business perspective, emphasizing the importance of building a closely integrated ecosystem among the three pillars:
“For Vietnam’s semiconductor industry to develop sustainably, there must be genuine collaboration among Government, Academia, and Industry. Enterprises are not only the end-users of research outcomes but should also be actively involved from the stages of research and training to ensure practicality and commercialization potential.”
According to Mr. Lan, in the context of increasingly intense global competition, Ho Chi Minh City needs breakthrough policies. Specifically, the city should focus on attracting and retaining high-quality talent in the semiconductor sector, while enabling domestic enterprises to participate more deeply in the global value chain. In addition, increasing investment in research and development (R&D) and promoting technology transfer will play a critical role in enhancing the industry’s competitiveness.
From a business perspective, he also emphasized that Vietnamese enterprises need to be more proactive in innovation, boldly investing in core technologies and gradually mastering key stages such as design, manufacturing, and testing. This will serve as a foundation for elevating their position and expanding their presence in the global market.
Contributing to the Development Direction of Ho Chi Minh City’s Semiconductor Industry

The seminar recorded numerous practical contributions from experts and businesses. Discussions focused on the development direction of the semiconductor industry in alignment with research, development, and manufacturing activities, as well as on building policy mechanisms to support enterprises in chip design and production.
At the same time, many opinions emphasized the importance of developing supporting industries and reforming training programs to better align with real-world industry demands.
These contributions are expected to serve as a crucial foundation for policymakers to refine and implement effective and feasible strategies.
The seminar concluded with many positive outcomes, opening up new opportunities for collaboration and laying a solid foundation for the future development of Ho Chi Minh City’s semiconductor industry. As a Silver Sponsor and an active member of the technology community, Mantis Vietnam will continue to accompany and contribute to shaping the future of the country’s high-tech industry.
